The association was created to be an umbrella for LGBT+ leagues. There are plans to add additional leagues in the future like volleyball (in and outdoor), pool, darts, kickball, etc. If you have an idea for a league please contact us.

    Equality South Dakota consists of three separate arms that work in concert to meet a shared mission. Equality South Dakota Institute is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that works statewide to win equality in the communities we call home.     1. All Souls Unitarian Universalist Sioux Falls 

      UUs know that religious spaces haven’t always been welcoming places for all people, especially when it comes to gender and sexuality. We are out to change that.

      All Souls is a welcoming, open and affirming congregation, a place where people of all races, religious backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender expressions are welcome to come just as they are. In 2010, members of All Souls voted to become an official Welcoming Congregation. The All Souls sanctuary is available for weddings and civil union ceremonies.

    2. First Congregational Church 
      Open & Affirming (ONA) means that a congregation expresses its welcome, inclusion, and full acceptance of persons who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning (LGBTQ+).
      In March 2011, First Congregational Church officially became an ONA church.
      In June 2021, the congregation of First Congregational Church participated in an unanimous vote to reaffirm our status as an Open & Affirming congregation. 
    3. Church on the Street 
      Although we are a Church without walls, we are sturdy. Church on the Street moves to suit the needs of the people. After all, the people are the Church. As we are out on the streets sharing the Good News, we feel so much support from the Greater Church of the ELCA and local congregations who are asking why, spreading the word, and inviting their congregations to be a part of this powerful Ministry.

      As Church on the Street is a Synodically Authorized Worshiping Community (SAWC) of the ELCA, we will continue to carry out Christ’s Great Commission by reaching out to ALL people to bring them to faith in Christ.       Peace Lutheran Church began a ministry of Word and Sacrament on the west side of Sioux Falls in 1965. Since then, it has grown to a congregation of over 4,300 people. We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), with over 3.6 million members and 9,300 churches across the United States. We are a Confessional church, with roots growing out of the 16th century Reformation. Lutherans hold to the basic principles of theology and practice espoused by Martin Luther.
