Sioux Falls Pride is proud to announce our youth event, the Randy Rohl Prom on Friday, May 3rd, 7pm – Midnight at Nom Nom Gardens.

40 years ago, in 1979, Randy Rohl was the first openly gay student, in the nation, to take a same sex partner to his high school prom, in Sioux Falls, at Lincoln High School. This event is to honor his memory, his bravery to stand up and demand equality in this everyday American right of passage.

This event is for LGBTQ and Allied youth, whom in their more rural communities, as well as Sioux Falls, may be barred, due to discrimination, or feel unsafe bringing their partner to prom. This free event is catered to ages 15-20 to provide a safe and affirming environment to create memories to last a lifetime!

Upcoming Event: Prom Dress Try On

Looking for a FREE dress or suit for our LGBTQ+ Youth prom? Look no farther. Come to MODstash Vintage during one of these events to try on and take home a dress or suit!  Open to ages 15-20 with a student or state ID to verify age.
