Sioux Falls Pride Festival Emcees | Saturday, June 16th

My name is Blaise Keller and I was born and raised in Madison, WI, until about the age of 8… then my mom, sister and I moved across the pond to England where I lived there for two years. We came back to the US in the fall of 2001 (I think) and settled in Zionsville, IN. That’s where I grew up, went to school and made all of my life long friends and memories.

After graduating as a Zionsville Eagle in 2010, I went off to Valparaiso University for 4 years to study meteorology. I had always wanted to be a biologist, specifically a herpetologist but I didn’t think I was smart enough plus I was playing Sims Nightlife and decided on weather randomly.

I went to Valparaiso for 4 years and got my bachelors degree, then I went to work at the NBC affiliate in Waterloo for 2 months before coming to Sioux Falls. I came out a year or so after moving to Sioux Falls and my family was very supportive. It was about a year and a half ago that I decided to once again come out, this time on KDLT News as a way to be more visible to the LGBTQ+ community.

Natasha is one half of the Local Best morning radio show on Hot 104.7. She is originally from Iowa and has lived in Sioux Falls for almost ten years. A few of her favorite things include chocolate, boy bands, tap dancing, brunch, karaoke, Harry Potter, napping, collecting useless pop culture knowledge, and not wearing pants. She is excited to be a part of SuFu Pride this year!

Kelly Sullivan is a 5th generation South Dakotan with a deep love for her city of Sioux Falls, as well as for the state of South Dakota. Kelly began her volunteer work in Sioux Falls over 13 years ago, and has a true passion for serving her community. Her journey began at The Center in 2005, which, at the time, was the only resource for LGBT youth in our city. Kelly attended meetings and helped organize gatherings for youth in need. From there, she joined the Sioux Falls Roller Dollz, a nonprofit sports team empowering women and children. There, Kelly served as board member, and head of officials from 2007-2010. Kelly joined the board of the Sioux Falls AIDS Fund in 2011, a nonprofit group raising awareness in the fight against AIDS/HIV.
Kelly is currently a member of the Sioux Empire Rock-a-Bettys, a local nonprofit empowering women through an educational scholarship program, as well as volunteering and fundraising. She worked on development for the organization from its inception and was a board member from 2013-2015. Kelly recently joined Dakota Rural Action through Homegrown Sioux Empire, an organization that builds community leadership on a grassroots level, with a focus on conservation and the environment. Additionally, Kelly is a board member with LEAD South Dakota (Leaders Engaged and Determined), a nonprofit organization working to empower women and engage them in the political process.
Kelly has excelled in the hospitality industry for over 15 years, more specifically in central Sioux Falls. She has been serving people her entire adult life from all backgrounds and is able to connect with people and find common ground with ease. Kelly is currently pursuing her degree in Sociology and Political Science at SDSU. Kelly enjoys cooking, playing softball and sand volleyball, nature and camping, yoga, coffee, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Jeff Hayward or District 12 House | 3:30pm

Hear from Jeff and his campaign!

Jeff Hayward was born and raised in Pierre, SD, the son of two state employees. His mother was a social worker, which gave Jeff an understanding early on of those less fortunate. She taught him compassion and remains a role model for him still today.

He’s an Eagle Scout who won a National Election in 2004 to serve as the National Youth President, traveling the country and serving as spokesman for the organization. His time in Scouting installed the values of Honesty, Kindness and Hard Work – which guide him still today.

He’s currently the State Director for South Dakota Job Corps, a program that provides low income youth the opportunity to finish their High School Diploma and learn Career Technical Training, and helps them transition to a career.

He was lucky enough to reconnect with his High School girlfriend 10 years later and married his better half, Kristin in 2014. They live in Sioux Falls with their two dogs, Charley and Scooter.
