Blogger and author of Damaged Goods: New Perspectives on Christian Purity, Dianna Anderson will discuss the impact that traditional evangelical teachings have had on the identities of lesbian, bisexual, gay, and transgender individuals.
She’ll explain what shame is, how shame takes root in the LGBT community’s contentious relationship with the church, and what it looks like to live without shame.
We’ll discuss the Biblical basis for taking an affirming position of LGBT identities, and the process of erasing shame in the ways we talk about, engage in, and explain sexual activity.
The event will end in a Q&A.
