Please join us in welcoming Ellie Krug – writer, lawyer, human.
Ellie will be presenting us with her “Gray Area Thinking” talk that provides a toolkit for how to better interact with/be inclusive of persons who are “different” from “us.” This presentation has been given to the judges and court system in Hennepin Co. (Minneapolis) and now, to the entire state of Iowa judiciary. This is a fantastic opportunity for business owners/managers, city officials, and general public to learn more about how they can be more compassionate people with everyone in our community. This talk will include a bit of Trans 101 at the end and leave time for questions.

Ellie is a transgender woman who does a great deal of public speaking and training/consulting on trans issues and on diversity and inclusion in general. Some of the venues or clients that she’s worked with include Target Corp., St. Jude Medical, soon–General Mills, and the court system for the State of Iowa to name a few.

Ellie has a large following in MN. In May, she presented to a standing room only room of 100+ persons at the Rochester Public Library; you can read about this in her most recent Lavender Magazine column here:http://www.lavendermagazine.com/our-affairs/skirting-the-issues-whoops-and-cheers-for-hope-and-compassion/.
